The story of Dales started in 1880 and has since passed down through three generations of the Dales family, and two generations of the Collinson family from the 1960s to the present day and is now headed by Neil Collinson.

We as a family, are very proud of our heritage, our team, and our reputation. We started out as memorial masons and over the years we have diversified our skills into kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

Masonry runs through our blood, it’s where our passion and expertise lies. Specialising in Granite, Marble, Slate, Yorkshire Stone, Limestone and a variety of Quartzstone the Dales’ team are expertly trained and take huge pride with each bespoke piece of stone being manufactured and finished to your exact requirements; whether it’s a memorial or a kitchen worktop.

After leaving school in 1980 Neil Collinson joined his father Don in the family monumental masonry business and they worked alongside each other for 20 years before totally taking over the reins in 2000. Following his decision to diversify into kitchen worktops and natural stone products for home and business, Neil has seen the business grow rapidly.

Neil is still very much hands on and directly involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the company from administration and sales through to manufacturing and
fitting.

We offer a comprehensive memorial service which includes new memorials, ashes and cremation memorials, pet memorials, additional inscriptions to existing memorials and renovations, re-fixes and maintenance of memorials.

We offer a large selection of premium quality granite, marble and limestone headstones as well as natural stone and slate memorials, some of which are lovingly hand-lettered with the famous ‘Collinson Family Hammer’ and hand-finished to your specification and style.
